Ervino Bertolin nasceu em 1935, em San Giovanni di Casarsa di Udine, Itália. Foi para a Austrália quando tinha 21 anos. Trabalhou por um curto período com cana-de-açúcar e depois começou a trabalhar no Snowy Scheme, um importante projeto na Austrália. Ele viveu 2 anos em Cooma, NSW e se casou com uma holandesa em 1964. Depois ele foi para Wollongong, também na Austrália. O casal teve um filho: Robert Bertolin.
Ervino divorciou-se e teve um negócio próprio no ramo de carpintaria, onde atuou por 21 anos. mais tarde, retornou para a cidade de Cooma, Austrália e casou-se novamente com uma australiana. Atualmente eles ainda moram em Cooma, onde estão há cerca de 35 anos. Ele se aposentou em 1985 e acaba de comemorar seu 85º aniversário.
FAMÍLIA BERTOLIN NA HOLANDA:
Seu filho Robert Bertolin, agora com 58 anos de idade, foi com sua mãe de volta para a Holanda quando ele tinha 10 anos. Casou-se em 1987 com a holandesa Jeannette e teve 2 filhos, uma filha Fabiënne (24) e um filho Jermo (22). Foi assim que a família Bertolin foi para a Holanda.
Ervino Bertolin tem um irmão chamado Claudio que está morando nos EUA.

Ervino Bertolin was born in 1935, in San Giovanni di Casarsa di Udine, Italy. He went to Australia when he was 21 old. Worked for a short period in sugar cane and then started working on the Snowy Scheme, an important project in Australia. He lived 2 years in Cooma, NSW and got married with a Dutch woman in 1964.
